Content: Hot Protein Cereal AUSSIE BODIES TEST KITCHEN This high fibre breakfast is a wonderful way to start the day and perfect for those cold winter mornings. The fibre in this cereal is also soluble, so it is better at controlling cholesterol and preventing heart disease and colon cancer. 1 cup of whole flaxseeds 1 cup of ground almonds ½ cup Oat Bran 1 ½ cups Wheat Bran 2 tbsps Trim Anytime Protein Vanilla Royale 1 tbsp cinnamon Spenda to taste Pre-heat oven to 200C. Finely grind flaxseeds in a coffee grinder or blender, and place in large mixing bowl. Spread ground almonds on a baking tray, and lightly toast in the oven for 5 minutes. Allow to cool, and then add to ground flaxseeds. Add the brans, protein powder and cinnamon, and mix well. This mixture can then be stored in the fridge in an airtight container. To serve, scoop up ½ cup of mixture, and add ¾ cup of boiling water. Stir, and allow to sit for a few minutes before eating. Add Splenda to taste. You can also serve this with yoghurt or cream, or fruits such as grated apple, or ½ cup mixed frozen berries (microwave on high for a minute or so to make a hot berry syrup). Serves 12.
